Taking a break from video games for a bit......

I'm gonna take a break from my classic video game posts.

I'm just gonna post a few videos with some delicious music today.

First is from a guy on youtube named Bliix. It is a metal version of From Paris to Berlin by Infernal.

Next on the list is one of my favorite artists for whatever reason. Doctor Steel with his song We Decide It.

Finally is a fellow on youtube with the user name the401drummer or Kevin Figs as he is known in real life. He has taken a notsogood song and turned it into something good.

I hope you enjoy Bliix's guitar playing, Doctor Steel's "craziness" and Kevin Figs drumming.

Classic Video Games Part Two

Welcome back everyone.

Today I will be briefly talking about Mega Man 2.

Though first I would like to thank everyone actually looking at my blog and leaving such good comments. Thank you.

Now onto Mega Man.  Mega Man 2 was released in June of 1989. This was the first game I ever played on my NES. I would rage quit many a time while playing. Then I would go back and kick ass....after a juice box.

Alright Mega Man 2 is about well Mega Man and his quest to save the world and destroy Dr. Wilys creations. Mega Man, the player, must defeat 8 different robot masters. They are Metal Man, Air Man, Bubble Man, Quick Man, Crash Man, Flash Man, Heat Man, and Wood Man.  Again enjoy a video courtesy of Duane & Brando.

I highly recommend you play this it is challenging and fun. Stay tuned for part 3.

Classic Video Games

As if my poll I put up earlier wasn't a big enough hint I will be mainly discussing the big names. Which are, Donkey Kong, Mario, Sonic, and Mega Man.

Ah yes the games I so thoroughly enjoyed in my youth. I remember putting hours upon hours into these series. Who knows how much time I've "wasted" having fun with these games. Well enough personal nostalgia for the moment.

I will mention Donkey Kong Country first.

Donkey Kong Country was released in November of 1994. It is a side-scrolling platformer. Like all the games I will be going over the next couple of days.

In Donkey Kong Country you are on Kong Island, Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong must retrieve the hoard of bananas stolen by King K. Rool and the Kremlings. As you collect the bananas from the islands different areas, the Kongs must eliminate many different foes, some native to the island as well as the Kremlings. Which are essentially alligators and other reptiles. Well that is the basis of the game. I know thats kind of a crappy overview but not sure exactly what to say. So instead have a video.

Thus concludes part one of my overview of classic video games. Stay tuned for other parts.

Hello, Welcome to my Blog

Hello, everyone.

I have started this blog to share and discuss Games, Music, and to a lesser extent Movies I enjoy.

Hopefully you will look into them to see if you enjoy them as well.

To get things started I'm just gonna post a few links to some various music.

To kick things off some Harry Enfield from the Channel 4 program Saturday Live.

Very funny song from a legendary comedian with one of his well known characters.

Now we shall move from comedy to a couple of fantastic guitarists. We shall take a look at Buckethead first.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C-2w9b8i7GU

In the video above Buckethead is playing Padmasana. It is very relaxing to me. It has a wonderful sound and rhythm to it as well.

The second guitarist I enjoy is mainly seen on YouTube unless you're in Europe or specifically the Netherlands. I will post a couple of his videos. He is Igor Presnyakov or just Iggy.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-_9NSq4U3nw

In this video he is playing a cover of Dire Straits Sultans of Swing. I enjoy the original and I think Iggy's playing is spot on.

be - Sultans of Swing - Dire Straits - acoustic cover - Igor Presnyakov

Now in this video Iggy is playing one of his original songs Tip Top.

Well that is all I have to post for now. I hope you look into these artists and if you enjoy their work please support them.

There will be an update tomorrow concerning "classic" video games.
